The Trouser Land Limited, has entered into the challenging world market of Ready Made Garments (RMG) industry with a high expectation of making positive contribution towards steady progress to our national economy.
The company was established very recently and manufactures Woven garments for 100% exports in the world market. At present Bangladesh is the second highest exporter of RMG products in the world. It has achieved this position mainly by virtue of producing quality products at the least possible cost and supplying the same at competitive price within the time schedule given by the customers.
The company is owned by a few private energetic and experienced entrepreneurs. While establishing the company, the owners knew it well that they will have to manufacture high quality products at the least possible cost to survive and flourish. Keeping this in mind, the owners built the factory equipping it with latest available machineries and providing it with other supportive facilities. The top management is assisted by a team of qualified professionals along with its skilled and experienced workforce in proper functioning of the company.
The factory is situated at an attractive location, three kilometers away, from the national highway, eight kilometers from the Dhaka International Airport and is well connected with good roads. The factory has an area of about four acres of Land. It has three separate one storyed buildings with covered area of 1,10,000 sft accommodating all the facilities that are required for manufacturing quality products in a safe and congenial environment.

The company visualizes substantial increase in the demand of its products in the coming years as it ensures quality of products at competitive price and timely supply of goods produced in social and friendly conditions. The factory has been designed in such a manner that its manufacturing capacity can be increased and expanded with the growth of demand. The company is committed to deliver high quality products and services to its valued customers by harmoniously blending safety, quality and honesty in all its activities.
Strength:
The company believes that strength lies in the existence of cordial relationship between the employees and the management authority. It considers its workforce as the best asset. Problem if any, when occurs is normally solved by mutual consultation keeping in view the interest of the employees and the company. Moreover, the following factors add to the strength of the factory:-
- The entire factory is covered by high powered electric generator and dependable distribution system
- Sufficient storage facilities for all kinds of goods with proper inventory and management system.
- Equipped with modern machineries that produce quality goods at the lowest possible cost as per the specification given by the customer
Quality of Products:
To ensure the quality of its products, the company has taken the following measures:-
- Regular inspection of fabrics and use of metal detectors.
- Regular and strict checking at all the stages of production, such as sewing, finishing, packing etc.
- The workers are trained regularly to acquaint them with the latest technology and to improve their skill.
Code of conduct and compliance:
- The company complies with all the national and international laws and regulations and ILO conventions.
- The company does not employ any child worker in its factory. Nobody below the age of 18 years is employed. The workers are employed on the basis of a certificate of age and fitness issued by the registered Doctor of the company.
- All the workers of the company work voluntarily at their will and nobody is forced to work against his will.
- Wages for regular work, overtime work and other benefits are paid in full compliance with local law. It also gives maternity benefit, attendance bonus and leave benefits to the workers. The wages and overtime remuneration are paid within the first seven days of the month.
- The maximum working hours in the factory is 48 hours and overtime period is 12 hours in a week. The overtime work is done voluntarily and the workers are paid at premium rate. Following every six days of consecutive work the workers are given one day duty off.
- The company does not support any sort of discrimination against anybody in employment, remuneration, training, promotion, termination etc on the ground of religion, gender, caste, creed, union membership or political opinion.
- The company follows some rules and provides facilities for maintaining hygienic atmosphere in the factory. Pure drinking water, hygenic toilet, canteen and dining rooms are available in the factory. A registered Doctor with trained staff takes care of the workers and provides medicine free of cost, whenever needed.
- By removing the causes of hazards inherent in the work to the practicable extent effective measures have been taken to prevent any sort of accident or injury to the workers during their work. The workers are also provided with some personal protective equipment and job specific safety instructions. A senior official has been given the responsibilities for taking measures to ensure safe and healthy working atmosphere.
- The company respects the right of the employees to form and join trade unions of their choice and bargain collectivity as admissible under the existing law of the country
- Necessary measures have been taken to ensure compliance of national and international regulations so that manufacturing process meet the requirements of environmental safety and conservation of natural resources.
- The company does not engage in or support corporal punishment, psychological or sexual harassment to its workers.
- The entire establishment is located in full industrial buildings for conducting its manufacturing and business activities with the approval of the concerned government and local authorities.
- Licenses have been obtained from the Department of fire services and civil Defence and all the rules prescribed by them for fire safety are strictly followed. The company has its fire fighting and preventive equipment and a team of fire fighting personnel trained from the department of fire service.
- Busbar Trunking system has been used in the electricity supply system to ensure safety of the employees.
- All the relevant information of the company are displayed at a suitable place of the company premises. The policy matters are regularly reviewed by the management for taking necessary measures in the interest and welfare of the company and its employees.
